A. Everything is in one place
Having everything on a digital device means that not only is there less to carry around, but everything is also stored in the cloud. If I forget a textbook, that’s okay, because I can pull it up on my phone. If I need to look at a note while I’m walking home, I can pull out my phone and look at my notes from that day. Since everything syncs to the cloud, and in turn, all my devices, I no longer have to worry about forgetting something.
B. Collaboration
When I used to take all my notes on paper, it was almost impossible to share them with classmates or coworkers because there was only one physical copy. Now I can hand write my notes on my tablet with a stylus, and export them as a PDF. If I’m writing something and want someone to look it over, I can send them an invite to the Google Doc.
C. Organization
Since everything is digital, it is so much easier to organize notes, documents, and quick scribbles in a paperless workflow. Gone are the days of trying to find that one page in your notebook where you wrote that idea for a new blog post or thing you needed to do. With a paperless system, all my notes live in one app and I can always search through them when I can’t find something.
D. Efficiency
One of the biggest issues with my old workflow was that it was inefficient. There was no good way to quickly access information. It was easy to lose things or forget them somewhere. I would spend more time trying to get organized then actually using the information that I was trying to organize. Since switching to a digital system, this is no longer an issue.
