From Scratch to Success, this Lake House won’t go out of trend

Wafai Architecture’s Lake House is a holiday home for a small family consisting of a couple expecting a baby on Lake Türlersee in Switzerland. Unfortunately, the project was never completed because the client initially had difficulty obtaining the necessary property.

Wafai Architecture decided to visit the area after researching it online and being enthralled by the natural beauty of the area. This visit laid the groundwork for continuing the concept as a purely artistic endeavour.

Studying the site’s features and softly contrasting or stressing them at different times provided the inspiration for Lake House. Lake House’s striking, dynamic shape contrasts subtly with the lush forest that surrounds it.

The project’s flowing lines, such as the wall that gradually transforms into a roof, draw the eye to the forest and gently blend the house with its surroundings without interfering with the sky, forest, or lake.
